What to do if you are involved in an automobile accident
1. If need be, obtain medical treatment. Your physical well being should be your first concern.
2. Obtain the other driver’s name, address, date of birth, telephone number, Driver’s license number, insurance company name and telephone number.
3. Obtain the name, addresses and telephone numbers of any witnesses.
4. Observe any damages to all vehicles involved in the accident and photograph the damage if possible.
5. Do not speak to any adjuster or representative of any insurance company.
Many insurance companies will attempt to contact accident victims shortly after the accident. This may be an attempt to settle your claim before the extent of injuries or value of the claim can be determined.
