The law firm of McAleer, Dorsey, Travis & Tinkham was formed in the early 1900's in Hammond, Indiana and emphasized worker's compensation and general defense litigation. Throughout the years, the firm has continued to practice in these areas of law, as well as many others. In 1964, James E. Schreiner joined the firm. The firm became known as Travis, Tinkham and Schreiner. In 1987, Timothy O. Malloy joined the firm. Subsequent to his arrival, the firm became Schreiner & Malloy, P.C. Steven W. Etzler joined the firm in 1997 and in January 2000, he was named as a partner in the firm. In October 2003, the firm became known as Schreiner Malloy & Etzler, P.C. Edward C. Lawhead joined the firm on January 10, 2004.
The firm has maintained a high quality result oriented general practice, primarily in the area of workers compensation, since it's inception nearly one hundred years ago.
